For 25 years, photographer Vladan Elakovic used Studio 106 as his base—collaborating with fellow Los Angeles artists, capturing moments with various Hangar guests, and hosting creatives from across the world.

After returning to Belgrade, Serbia in 2013 Vladan left the space he crafted to his daughter Masha, who has been carrying on Studio 106’s inspirational atmosphere.

 

Located on the west end of Barker Hangar at the Santa Monica Airport, Studio 106 provides artists with a unique backdrop where the history of Los Angeles as a center of cultural transition, movement, and exchange

is always palpable.
