This fund is supporting domestic migrant workers. Under the Kafala system, domestic migrant workers, who are the main caretakers of many families and homes in Lebanon, are completely stripped of their human rights including access to their passports and their freedom. Following the explosion, thousands were abandoned by their employers without permission to return to their home country.
CAUSE:
Relocation of displaced individuals who have lost their homes to the blast. More than 300,000 Lebanese citizens need our assistance.
